Fabricate, sand, partially assemble, and package for pick up, one unfinished custom interior grade, solid, poplar bench per designer's specification.

12/4 and 16/4 solid clear poplar (Liliodendron tulipfera)


All solid stock per specification. Seat, back & feet glued for width using tounge and groove joinery.
Seat to feet and back to seat joinery by loose / dry bore and dowel (to permit easy finishing and field assembly). Adhesive was not necessary to retain structural integrity. Back to wall by mortised z clips & rail.


Craftsman insured grain & plane unfinished product including the removal of all tool marks and sanding all visible surfaces to 150 grit.

Faux stone finish (paint) by others. Client purchased an unfinished piece. Finisher was responsible for all pre-finishing activities required by the finishing schedule including any final sanding, sealing, distressing or conditioning.


Monarch z clips and rail to secure back to wall. two leg levelers per foot.


Flat seat, flat back arched top wood bench with small greek key detail flanking the arched top. Large profiled feet supporting the seat. Overall measurements: 49” wide by 50” high.


This large, heavey bench is unusually specified in solid wood.


One man, 12 days.
