One 10’ wide executive desk w/ flanking file cabinets, apron and radiator cover (not pictured). Bypass 10’ high entertainment center flanked by wall panels, built up pilasters, flip down writing desk, drawer unit and mirrored display cabinet.

Sequenced, book matched and center balanced, flat cut walnut veneer over particle board core for panlels and pilasters, veneer core walnut plywood for carcasses, solid maple drawers. Mirrored 1/8" glass back & sides, w/ 1/4" mirrored shelves @ display unit. Anodized aluminum channel shelf supports.

Miter fold pilasters, light valence and radiator cover, confirmat and blind dowel carcass construction, through dovetail solid maple drawers, stopped blind dado fixed shelves.

Sierra Pine Arreis core, formaldehyde free resin, low VOC primer and topcoat.

2" drop edge and finined ends compound miterfolded to each other and to the shelf top using a custom fabricated assembly table & clamping system w/ cam activated pressure bars.

Fabricate, sand, partially assemble, and package for pick up, one unfinished custom interior grade, solid, poplar bench per designer's specification.

12/4 and 16/4 solid clear poplar (Liliodendron tulipfera)

All solid stock per specification. Seat, back & feet glued for width using tounge and groove joinery.
Seat to feet and back to seat joinery by loose / dry bore and dowel (to permit easy finishing and field assembly). Adhesive was not necessary to retain structural integrity. Back to wall by mortised z clips & rail.

Craftsman insured grain & plane unfinished product including the removal of all tool marks and sanding all visible surfaces to 150 grit.

Faux stone finish (paint) by others. Client purchased an unfinished piece. Finisher was responsible for all pre-finishing activities required by the finishing schedule including any final sanding, sealing, distressing or conditioning.

Monarch z clips and rail to secure back to wall. two leg levelers per foot.

Flat seat, flat back arched top wood bench with small greek key detail flanking the arched top. Large profiled feet supporting the seat. Overall measurements: 49” wide by 50” high.

This large, heavey bench is unusually specified in solid wood.

Two primed asymetric, mirror-image, tall, open storage units to flank a large window in the hotel's gathering space / reception area.

MDF carcases, solid clear poplar faceframes, edges and scribes.

Invisible dowel fixed shelves, screw and glue into rebate carcasses, miterfold and tounge and groove face frames, press in solid wood scribes, fixed reveals.

An unusual primed, large (84"x 42"x 24"), closed storage cabinet with running water, corian countertop and sink, integral lighting, drawer bank, fixed and adjustable shelves.

1" MDF, solid stock clear poplar, Corian countertop, backsplace and sink, solid maple drawers.

Face framed case within a fframelss case case construction, full overlay 1" thick doors. Tounge & groove solid wood face frameed interior cases. Tounge & groove shelf edges, built up corian countertop w/ eased square edge, rebated backsplash, confirmat and invisible dowel carcass joinery, blind stopped dado fixed shelves, through dovetail solid maple drawers. Solid poplar integral scribes.

Shop applied Sherwin Williams acid catalyzed conversion varnish primer.

Accuride full extension slides, Blum silent close, free swing thick door hinges, 1/4" nickel plated shelf pins, pulls and light fixtures by others.

Unique cabinet.

Very large and very heavy unit, shipped assembled w/ doors hung. Picture shown w/o doors.

Seven piece built in wall unit in solid wood measuring about 16' long x 8' high x 20" deep.

All solid wood construction. Hemlock timbers, believed to be 200+ years old, were 3.5" thick x 7.5" wide x 20' long and were reclaimed from the floor of a Stockport mill by client and Ghent Wood Products.

All parts in sold wood. Plain sawn backs were floating, splined and beaded. Comb grained face frames were indexed with biscuits, glued to ends and lipped flush. Applied moldings were glued and clamped under pressure flush with face frames and carcass parts. Carcass jonery was dry confirmat.

Stain and top coat by Michael Gilbert.

Parts sawn and selected for color matching by Craftsman. All wire management concealed in carcass. Four data / cable / telco ports, four duplex outltesa and six wall sconces wired into casework.

All molding and wall touch points scribed to exiting historic moldings.

Four custom knife profiles ground to match existing historic trim.

Entire kitchen and adjacent dining area. Aprox. 45 cabinets and floor to ceiling built-ins, and 70 doors & drawer fronts.

Island: Sequence matched Honduran Mahogany over ultra-light core. Keyed rift sawn mahogany edges, rift sawn 13/4” face frames w/ 3/32” gaps, prefinished maple interior.

Cabinets: Comb grained white oak veneer over ultra-light cores, keyed, quarter sawn oak edges, rift sawn 1.75” x .75”. Face frames w/ 3/32 gaps, prefinished maple interiors.

Pocket holed face frames. Splined and glued face frame / carcass. Full dado carcases, piloted, screwed and glued. Flush cabinet / face frame clearance.

Island: 3 coats Antique tung oil

Cabinets: Hand mixed lime, followed by 3 coats tung oil

Accuride slides, Suss hinges, custom nickel pulls.

Widest windows in two pieces. Transition legs from radiused top casing to vertical side casings were included to prevent mismatched profiles at joint. No miter joints required, creating a smooth transition from radiused to straight sections.

One 3’ x 7’ exterior entry door, jamb and threshold with two sidelights, overhead and vestibule wall paneling.

1 frame each 32" x 39" x 1" and 43" x 39" x 1". Fabricate frames, backer board & matting. Assemble frames, distress joinery, install glass, matting, backer board and mounting hardware.

Lumber supplied by client, two very weathered 10 1/2W” x 1” Thk x 7’5” long and 9’2” long oak.

Backer board of ½” medium density fiber board.

Glass of 1/8” thick flat glass w/ pencil edge.

Double biscuit & tandem pocket hole glue reinforced miter joint at approximately 6” intervals.

Sealer coat of thined satin polyurethane applied to the back faces of the frames to reduce moisture absorbtion and reduce dimensional variation.

Edges and joinery face blowtorched to equalizse distressing and wire brushed to blend patina.

Scrap grade material was reclaimed, recycled antique white oak from barn board sideing and presented severe weathering on front surfaces, many checks and splits, wane and some twist.

Wavy weathered & warped condition made joinery, and preservation of the desired, distressed face difficult.

Vertical grain raised panels @ base file cabinets. Custom knives ground for 4.5" solid crown and base moldings. Custom profile 1.5" countertop edge. Shelf spacing optimized for media (DVD) storage. All casework and applied ends scribed to wall codition. electrical outlets cut into backs of casework.
